IMPORTANT UPDATE!!!

We are excited to announce that N.J. Peace Action has obtained a meeting with an aide to Governor Corzine on Thursday, May 31. Approximately 12 students and counter-recruitment activists from different areas of the state will be meeting with Jane Ellen Duffy, policy advisor to the Governor, to urge Corzine to implement a uniform statewide policy for students to opt out of having their personal information released to military recruiters under Clause 9528 of the No Child Left Behind Act.

Since January, we have sent the Governor nearly 200 postcards urging him to act on this issue; and we have over 100 more which we plan to deliver at the meeting. Can you help us reach our goal of having 200 postcards to deliver in person by May 31? Please print a postcard HERE and return it to N.J. Peace Action, 673 Bloomfield Ave, 2nd floor, Bloomfield, NJ 07003 as soon as possible.

Also, please sign our petition online!
