Daniel Tillias

Haitian Peacemaker, Humanitarian, Activist

– Director of Haiti Pax Christi

"Haiti as a Sign for Peace in the World"

Monday, November 8th, 7-9 P.M.

St. Peter Claver Church

56 Elmwood Avenue, (Between Elm & Maple)

The earthquake that so devastated Port-au-Prince and the entire country became, for Daniel Tillas, a Call to Action. He mobilized youth in Cite Soleil to join rescue efforts. They became recognized as one of the many aide groups that flooded the city.

Daniel’s focus is about the peace that Haiti can inspire. He is passionate about a number of issues for the Haitian people – Peace, Nonviolence, Food Security, and Education.

At various times he has published editorials, reflections on peace, proposals to resolve some of the problems of Haiti, and most notably a book of poems “Cry for Hope” that reflect his spirituality and optimistic philosophy of life.

We will welcome Freewill donations for Daniel Tillas’ mission.
