Our Mission

NJ Peace Action (formerly SANE/FREEZE) is committed to a world free of nuclear weapons, opposing the nuclear arms race and all testing and modernization of nuclear weapons. We are also opposed to the increased militarization of U.S. spending priorities, including a massive Pentagon budget, which diverts much-needed funding for human and community needs, such as housing, schools, healthcare, and infrastructure. We advocate for environmental justice and call attention to the impact of nuclear weapons, and all military weapons, on the environment.
